Microchipping your foal is mandatory in the period between 3 months and 6 months from the date of birth. The microchip form is available for downloading and printing on our website. Subsequently, you schedule an appointment with your veterinarian. The veterinarian will fill out the form and place two stamps, one at the top of the form, partially overlapping the barcode sticker, and another one near the bottom of the form. This form must be returned to the secretariat within 7 days.


All Falabellas are legally required to have a passport as well as a microchip. The FSE chairman is authorised to issue passports by PVE.

Issue of horse passports is subject to the PVE Identification and Registration Directive. Any request for issue of passports or passport duplicates will be addressed in observance of subsection 2 of the aforementioned directive.
